Covid-19 Policy
Our Hospital COVID-19 Protocols
Due to COVID-19, we are not able to allow our clients into the building except for special circumstances. This is for the safety of our staff, clients, and community.
When you arrive at the hospital, please call to let us know that you have arrived with your pet. We will come outside and bring your pet in for their appointment. We will ask you to take your pet out of the car and pass them to us to avoid entry into your vehicle. Please have your pet secured on a leash or in a pet carrier at all times. Our leashes are cleaned and sanitized regularly throughout the day and will be used to bring your pet into the hospital. Once secured on our leash, we ask you to remove your leash.
All staff and clients are required to wear a mask and practice social distancing at all times.
If you have been in contact with a person suspected or confirmed of having COVID-19, please tell us at the time of booking the appointment before arriving at the hospital. If you have started to experience any symptoms of COVID-19, please ask a friend or family member to bring your pet for their appointment, or to pick up medication or food.
If you do have COVID-19 symptoms or a known infection, it is recommended to avoid direct contact with your pet due to the possibility of transmission of the virus from you to your pet. The risk is very low for dogs and low for cats, however to minimize further spread of the disease this is the best recommendation at this time.
The EGVH team is doing our best to do our part in minimizing further spread of COVID-19. If you have any questions or concerns please call or email us. We hope you and your family stay safe and stay healthy.
Please note that all photos featuring staff without masks were taken prior to COVID.
